Goodie Girl Fudge Stripe Cookies

  • October 26, 2025

Hello there! Thank you for visiting!  Ok, this review is for the Goodie Girl Fudge Stripe Cookies. I will try to review all the Goodie Girl products soon!!!    That will include the s’mores, the animal crackers, and the “oreos”.  Oh, and let’s not forget the famous thin mints!!!!  I am not a mint fan, but my husband is in love with these!  So more reviews soon, I promise!  😊

Goodie Girl is an interesting and cool company.   The founder, Shira Berk, is not even gluten free, if you can believe that!  She started developing her first gluten-free cookie (a quinoa-based chocolate chip) at the request of a customer at her small Goodie Girl Café in Tribeca, New York.  Shira used the café as a laboratory and a springboard for her gluten-free cookie recipes. It was the success of the cookies there that proved the concept and led her to scale the business nationally.  Prettyt cool story, and we thank you Shira, for making your wonderful cookies!

Back to the cookies!!!!  When I first discovered these cookies and this brand, I thought they were Girl Scout cookies, or a gluten free version at least.  While I couldn’t find a direct quote from Shira Berk stating, “I am copying the Girl Scouts,” the consensus in food industry articles and her brand’s strategy strongly suggests that yes, the comparisons are intentional and a cornerstone of her success. Goodie Girl is the best year-round answer to the Girl Scout shortage!!!!

These fudge stripe cookies are amazing!  They have the perfect crunch that many gluten-free products fail to achieve, and they have a “snap” when you bite into them.  They are dense and sturdy, not dry or crumbly. These cookies taste exactly like the Keebler original fudge stripes.  I have an idea for you:  have a friend who eats gluten (a traitor!) do a blind taste test!!!  That would be super fun!  Let me know your results.  😊

Ok, if I am being honest, I can eat an entire box of these in one sitting.  I TRY not to….but sometimes I do.  True confessions!  They are that good!  I try not to buy them!   But my will is weak!  LOL!!!  Also, I have two suggestions to elevate your snack experience.

First, try dunking them in a high-quality nut butter like an almond butter or even a very quality peanut butter with no added oil. This will give you a little more protein (making it a more substantial snack) and also give you a satisfying sweet-and-salty combination.

Second, try dunking them in a creamy, plant-based milk like an oat milk or an almond milk.   YUMMY!

The only negative I can say about these cookies is that they can melt a bit.  If you are in a hot area, be careful of that.  I don’t mind mine being melted, but some of you might mind.  To me, a melted fudge stripe cookie is just a BONUS glob of chocolate cookie goodness!  HAHA!
